Two sisters, one living in the city, the other living in the countryside, must face different challenges in 1945, as Taiwanese society was dramatically upended. They must be strong, to pursue their dreams of education, marriage, and a life of their own. Through their story, we present the state of Taiwanese society during the war, and the humanity that shone through in that difficult time.
