Yasuji Tokyo
Yasuji Inoue, a landscape painter, born in Asakusa in the first year of the Genji era. He was introduced to Kiyochika Kobayashi at the age of fourteen. He died in the 22nd year of the Meiji era at the age of twenty five. What did Yasuji see in Tokyo? A quiet world that draws a mysterious master-student relationship, following the scenery seen by Yasuji Inoue, a painter of the perinatal era, while freely going back and forth between Tokyo in the Meiji era and Tokyo in the Showa era.
