Souhei Sagara is a university student who proudly champions the solitary lifestyle. Living next door in his run-down apartment is Haruko, a stylish and beautiful "shiny" university student.Haruko seemed like she was from a completely different world than the dull Sagara, but she actually had a secret... She was a plain, makeup-free girl who successfully debuted as a "shiny" student when she started university!

After discovering her secret, Sagara, in an effort to preserve his peaceful loner life, decides to help the clumsy Haruko.
