Tonari no Gorilla ni Koishiteiru

I’m under a curse that makes the opposite sex appear as animals, and yet, I might just be falling for the “Gorilla” who sits next to me. She’s got a muscular build, coarse body hair, and a rugged, chiseled face—literally too far from human to be a typical love interest. But her voice, her gestures, and the way she responds in conversation? They’re all unmistakably those of a cool, composed girl.

As I spend my days getting along (sort of?) with this Gorilla, I can’t help but realize I’m genuinely drawn to her… though the all-important method to break this curse remains nowhere in sight!

Then one day, a “cat”—a senior one year above me, dressed in the boys’ uniform—shows up and says:

“I know how to break this curse.”

This is the story of my ordinary days with a gorilla, painted by a curse.
