Sakura, a delinquent, has been harboring a one-sided crush on his classmate Makabe since middle school. Hoping to see him, he regularly visits the school library where Makabe works as a student librarian. But Sakura, inexperienced when it comes to love, can’t find a way to get closer to him.

One day, the two end up working together on a book repair volunteer project, and suddenly their relationship takes a step forward. Sakura is thrilled as they begin chatting more easily, but then the thought hits him, "If I confess, I might lose even the friendship we have."
