Raised by her single father, Gin-chan, Sengoku Kingyo, spends her days helping run her dad's takoyaki stand, while attending night school at a local high school. One day, she finds a guy her age, named Teshigawara Itaru, passed out near a pile of trash and rescues him. Homeless and without anyone to take care of him, he is taken in by Gin-chan. So starts a comedic whirlwind of a story about school life, love, and family.
