The story revolves around Dr. Takagun, a Japanese scientist whose inventions have become widespread worldwide. However, the twisted scientist, Dr. Danuma, harboring a grudge against Dr. Takagun's brilliant mind, challenges him to a duel using scientific weapons. As a result, Dr. Takagun and his wife are killed, leaving behind their young son, who is raised by a nurturing robot left by the doctor. Eventually, the boy grows up to become the justice-seeking hero known as "Z."
