Picture Bride: Umi wo Watatte Koi to Nare
San Francisco, early 20th century. Relying on a single photograph, some women crossed the ocean to marry husbands they had never met. Chizuru, who works as a teacher, is one of them. Her husband, Yoshiaki, lives in a free and equal society, with progressive ideas, and respects her. Chizuru had high hopes for a life married to him, but when she met Yoshiaki in America, he was a completely different person to the one in the photograph... A love story that begins with marriage, where the two grow to love each other despite their differences in a place far from their homeland.
