Sasuke, the son of farmers, disappeared while his parents were away in the fields. The villagers searched for him desperately but in vain, and Sasuke was never found.

Many years later, another village is attacked by a pack of wolves. Tomekichi, a hunter who came to the mountains to hunt for the alpha wolf, found himself fighting not just wolves, but also a boy...!
