Convenience store clerk Higa Kousuke and office worker Tatemura Atsushi, are a quarrelsome couple who live by the motto “the more you argue, the closer you become." One day, Atsushi's mother, Hisae, pays him a surprise visit. Noticing how impeccably tidy the apartment is—thanks to Kousuke’s meticulousness—Hisae assumes a woman is living with him and asks to meet her.
