The story is set in the Champagne region of France. It follows Rémie, an orphan girl raised by Claude, who barely remember her parents, except for a vision of an old mansion surrounded by vineyards.

After the death of Claude, the kindhearted Rémie is taken by a strange woman to a mansion, the one from her memory! But the woman tells her the story of this mansion, about the Chinon family and the Burroughs black sorcerer…
