Koyomi Gonomi
"Koyomi Gonomi" is a story that anthropomorphizes the calendar, including New Year's Day and New Year's Eve. In the past, at the end of the year in Japan, Omisoka and New Year's Day would descend into the human world and set the "gears of time" in motion, allowing people to feel the passage of the year. However, as the eras progressed from Showa to Heisei to Reiwa, the concept of New Year's Eve became a mere formality, and New Year's Day, now in human form, ended up working part-time at a convenience store. Furthermore, when the gears of time are in danger of stopping, Omisoka struggles to help New Year's Day remember its former self.
