The prequel manga is based on the Sengo no Sensou (The Postwar War) short story that appears in the 11th volume of Harutoshi Fukui's original Mobile Suit Gundam UC novels. The story centers on the Neo Zeon remnants' hijacking of the Sinanju Stein mobile suit.
