Joubutsu Sasete yo!

Kazunobu Harumoto is a low-level member of a yakuza gang. One day, the gang's headquarters is attacked, and only he and the gang leader's young daughter, Mutsumi, survive. The police protect them by hiding them at Zenjoji Temple, a famous Zen temple with a history of over 700 years. What awaited them there, however, was a life of contemplation and ascetic practice.... Will their path lead to death or to Zen? This is a story of young monks in training.
