Jintarou, a bartender who recently broke up with his girlfriend, buys a house, determined to live alone for the rest of his life. However, upon moving in, he discovers that a young man and a little girl have taken up residence there without permission. The intruders? Susumu, a daycare worker who was thrown out by his partner with nowhere else to go, and Hina, a foster child in his care.

Desperate not to be separated from Hina, Susumu pleads with teary eyes, while Hina gazes at Jintarou with innocent curiosity. Swayed by their situation, Jintarou agrees to let them stay—for three months, at most. But then, Hina mistakenly assumes that Jintarou is her new dad—which means she thinks he and Susumu are a couple! Suddenly, Jintarou finds himself wrapped up in a pseudo-family situation, flustered by the unexpected closeness with a man ten years younger. And yet, the one who started all this—Susumu—seems to be having way too much fun…
