The protagonist, Fujiyoshi Mizuki, is a high school girl who lives on the north side of Hanamikoji in Gion, Kyoto. Gion Hanamikoji is a well-known tourist spot, but the north side is an entertainment district filled with host clubs and cabaret clubs. Mizuki is familiar with Hikaru, the hired manager of Club Paradiso, and is a member of the Japanese Culture Club at school. He asks her to read "The Tale of Genji" for him.
