A future in which a world war has brought about the development of technology. Men have made robots to do most of the work. The increase in cyborgs, more intelligent and autonomous, engenders a certain hatred on the part of men, despising and degrading them. Some of them have banded together to form the Cyborg Liberation Front led by a certain Damos, who is seeking the right to live like ordinary citizens.
The policeman,MX-16, finds himself getting involved in the conflict somewhat by chance. In a fight between rebel cyborgs of the Metal Brain group and police robots, he loses his wife. Desperate, he finally agrees to take home a cyborg with all of her memories in order to alleviate the grief of his son Gun. But MX-16 is unable to get used to this presence and during this time, the revolt is brewing...
