The Family Show tells the story of a depressed, impoverished family who, in an attempt to make money, begin to distribute the story of their lives. Mikoto, the daughter of the Masaki family, laughs at school about her family's poverty. Her way of relieving stress is to satisfy her need for approval by distributing videos. However, the delivery triggers a downward spiral into hell for the girls and their family.
