Danjorou Kugai Soushi: Shirogane no Hana depicts a highly ritualized world of prostitution during Meiji Era Japan. The centerpiece of the story is one Ginjirou, trapped in a life of sexual exhibition compounded by the decorum of ornamental traditions (think geishas), and male-female role subjugation.
