University Professor Kurumizawa leaves behind life in Tokyo in favor of living in harmony with nature in a mountain village. With help from furniture-maker, Usa, and other village locals, he learns how to live off the land. This second volume chronicles the transition from autumn to winter, following the two characters as they gear up for the fall harvest and cold weather to come.
