Mari is both at home and at school all alone. In her small world is her nagging mother, her alcoholic father, and mocking older sister. At school the boy she is seeing only thinks of lewd things, forcing her to separate herself from him. One summer, she starts noticing a solitary boy in her class, Ozaki.
